Laptop as GPS ?

Never thought about this before, but is it possible to convert the following into a working GPS ?

1. Asus 7" laptop running XP with car power adaptor.
2. Bluetooth adaptor.
3. GPS external adaptor.

What satnav software would be required?

Re: Laptop as GPS ?

Yes , I have my EeePC 1000H [XP] running MS Autoroute with a USB GPS reciever .Working great . I dont have a car charger for it though.
I have also installed a program for testing on another laptop called Eartha .This is a full map of the world to run with a GPS module and is for tracking a route anywhere in the world when on a flying ,car or boat journey .It doesn't have full zooming in capabilities on minor or A roads like a TT satnav , but is still quite a good program.
