Garmim Safety Camera Database

Hi All.
I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 and my wife subscribed me to their camera database.
However despite downloading the file I have never had one warning,I thought I was just a slow driver .However on inspection the Cyclops UK database does not show on System/About, but does show when unit is connected to pc under POI file.Been in contact with Garmin via email twice now and first they emailed me a file UK CyclopsSample which I had to paste into POI to overwrite the current one ,but still no UK database showing on unit once disconnected from pc.
They then told me to download the latest camera database which should cure the problem. I am still stuck with UK file showing poi via pc but again not when disconnected.I went for a drive today and again no warnings of cameras I suppose due to the fact that UK database is not working.
I do not have a sd card in unit but I do not think it is that so I am now stumped .Any ideas please.
Thank you

Re: Garmim Safety Camera Database

It may be a stupid question but have you turned on the Safety Cameras in the menus?

> Setting
> Proximity Points
> Alerts - touch Change to turn on or off the alerts when you approach custon POI's or safety camera
> Audio - to set the type of audio warning
> touch OK

No ,not a stupid question as sometimes it is the simplest things that you overlook. However in this case I had done as you mentioned ,I have tried on all 3 types of Audio alerts but still no different.
I can only think there must be a fault in the unit somewhere or a master re -boot may be the answer ,why I do not know I admit.

I will try some more research if not I will have to get back in touch with Garmin. Thanks for you input.
