Question one sat nav for car and hill walking

Hi all I am new to the site and also sat nav's. I am looking to buy my first sat nav and i am looking for just one that can be used for hill walking as well as the car. It does not need to have all the best features for the car but I would like it to be good for the hill walking with good features in that area. also would need to have a good battery life or could be fed from something external (small and light) that would last a good eight hours.

You are best off buying a unit for the car and a seperate one for walking.

Either that or you buy a Garmin Oregon 550T which is expensive but IMO very good.
