Recommendation: New Car Stereo (and fitter London area)

Hi,

Looking to get a new car stereo, basically for my iPhone.

At the moment I use the Aux connection, together with the worst item I have ever had the misfortune to use - the iPhone Tuneflex from halfords - also on the BMW 1 series the aux is located behind the handbrake between 2 front seats - just looks messy and have gone through 3 aux cables...

Anyway...

Ideally an iPhone cable that both plays and charges the phone. I want to avoid using cigarette lighter.

optionally - Bluetooth enabled.

I've already have in mind how to mount the phone.

Budget £300

Any thoughts appreciated.

have you looked at the parrot mk9200i. i know it is not a head unit but a bluetooth kit. but it will also allow you to connect an ipod/iphone , usb drive and any audio device with a 3.5mm jack.
all the audio will be played through the factory speakers and still alow you to retain the factory head unit.
What year is your car and does it have reverse parking sensors? the reason i ask is because the later 1 series with parking sensores the beeps are passed through the stereo so if you change it you will no longer have the beeps, however there is a module available to restore the beeps but not sure how much it is.
Where abouts are you?
If your not too far from me i can supply and fit it for you.
