Smile Some Quick Sat Nav Questions - Please Help!!!

Dear all,

I am a product design student and am working on a project to investigate the usability issues associated with in car sat nav devices. I am trying to get an understanding of who buys them and why, and the positive/negative experiences people have had with them.

I have a few questions that I was hoping people in this forum may be able to help with. It would be very much appreciated if you could take time to answer these or give any input you may have. Thank you.

Questions:

Age range: 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 65+
Occupation:?
Residential Location: area/city, urban/rural
Do you currently own a sat nav device?
If YES, what made you buy one?
If NO, why haven't you got one?
How much would you / did you pay for a sat nav device?
What are the main features you would look/looked for?
Does brand awareness affect your choice of this type of product?
Do you have any positive or negative points about sat nav's from past experiences?

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Sat navs are very over priced and use old technology for what they are.

I'm looking for a Sat Nav at the mo, as I'm fed up sitting for 4 hours in a Q when theres an accident on the motorway, plus its nice to know where you are going if you plan a weekend break somewhere........although printing out directions from google does pretty much the same thing......still want one though.
