Which satnav guys??

Ok, I've come here because you guys are the ones to ask I'm told.

I've had Tomtom on a PDA for a good few years now, and it's served me well, but it's on it's last legs and I need other things that tom tom doesn't give.

I want a satnav that has;............

a) UK & European maps (France)
b) Speed camera locations (not too bothered about online upgrades)
c) I now do a good bit of "green laning" (4x4) and Tom tom just shows me out in the *green* on no particular route at all. I need something that will show these (probably something with O/S maps)
Be able to plot a route on these green lanes.

Last but not least, I don't want to pay an arm & a leg for it.

hopefully awaiting your words of wisdom

Re: Which satnav guys??

c) is obviously the point which complicates matters a little.

I would consider a tomtom one with EU mapping at £92.00 - TomTom ONE V4 EU Maps
and then look at buying a second hand Garmin handheld device and load discoverer software onto it Garmin GB Discoverer mapping for National Parks and UK Trails on handheld GPS systems...or buy a Garmin Nuvi 550 and then install the discoverer software to it.

I have a Navigon 4350max and its around £160, and is simply the best nav ive had. Navigon do have cheaper units that have Euro maps too.
