What do you do when you cannot find the street number? (TT XL IQ related)

Ok so say I need to go somewhere and the address only contains a street name and post code. But no street number.

How do I find it on TT XL IQ? It forces me to put a street number. But I don't know what it is?

Is other TT like this?

Is other Garmin? Navigon like this?

"Go" - TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - Car navigation

Permit - verb "to allow" Permit Definition

I did consider the Go 930. But I couldn't find it at Halfords where I wanted to buy it from as they had a 30day warranty. Also I needed it straight as away.

The only one they had was the 520 but it had no IQ routes and lane guidance. The XL IQ seemed better then the 520

Also what is the diffidence between One, XL, Go and Live?

As I understand it One is standard stuff, no/limited speed cameras, POI etc?

XL is just basically the one models but on a larger screen? have Speed cameras, POI, more features.

GO not sure what makes this stands out?

As you can see there is nothing there that as good as XLIQ within that price range.

Live is services like updated speed cameras, Traffic live as it happens?

Post Codes (in the UK at least) only refer to a small number of houses, so it hardly matters what number you put in. From memory if I put in a Post Code it shows the street and then asks me for a house number. If I put in a number that's correct, I'm OK. If I put in a number that's not correct, it shows the available numbers. Either way I'm unlikely to be more than a few doors out when I get there.

No that's wrong. I had to go to an office which had no building number. I gave an incorrect number, it showed me available numbers from 149 to 1500+ of course I had no idea so I just guessed a middle one.

It took me there but then I was lost on which direction to go. North or south. Ended up driving up and down mile long road to find the correct building. Not easy when it is a main road and your travelling 30mph looking at both side of the street.

Once updated to the current software, it will have both.
