Mio/Navman

My Son in law has an older version Mio SatNav running 3.2,is there any new maps for this Mio or will Navman maps or others work ?.He really likes the SatNav - but obviously it is useless without updates.Any snippets of info appreciated,apart from dump it.
I will stick with my version 1 Navigo anyday.Thanks for looking.
