[Google eye]

I was going to purchase a used JVC GR D850 from gumtree but I lost touch with my contact.

I did see a brand new JVC GR D860 going for a good price £150 today in a shop.

Does anyone know if this will be similar quality to the GR D850?

There are a very few clips of the GR d860 on youtube but the footage of the spider I thought was quite impressive for the price of this cam plus the 35x optical zoom seems tempting to me .

Years ago I use to have a JVC cam and though it was'nt fantastic in low light what impressed me was the audio quailty.

I recorded some small gigs and the sound came out fantastic.
I know JVC are slowly phasing out Mini DV cams which is sad as I prefer the mini DV format to the ones with the hard drives.
