recover mp4

I have a couple of mp4 files which the camera cannot play so I've downloaded to my PC. What's the best software to attempt recovery as they are pretty important -- typically !!

Re: recover mp4

How do you mean? if the files are on a PC do they not play?
Have they played before? ( on the camera?)

Re: recover mp4

They won't play on the camcorder, just shows a red square when you go to these 2 files and they won't play. I copied them to my PC to try VLC. When I try to play them with VLC, VLC opens fine but nothing happens at all even though I don't get any sort of error message. My guess is that the header info may be corrupted and I was hoping to find something which could fix it?

Re: recover mp4

mmmm maybe try converting the file to another format with convertxtodvd, if that works VLC will play the vob files and they will all be seperate so the header might be seperated from the main body, worth a try
