TG3E 8Gb Memory Stick query

Hi, I bought an 8Gb memory stick Pro Duo (Not Mark II) for my TG3E and it moans and beeps all the time about recordings may not work properly. I have checked the Sony site for compatibility and it says it works but only files less than 4Gb, well the camcorder moans fromt he moment it is put in then whenever you select to record.

Do I have to put up with this? What are people doing who get a 16Gb card with the camcorder?

Re: TG3E 8Gb Memory Stick query

I bought 2x 'SanDisk 8GB Video HD' cards to use with my TG3 and have had no problems.
It does say in the camera instructions to use mark II cards presumably as it needs the faster read/write speed of such cards.

Most likely fake card.

Get a PSP and check the magicgate fucntion. If it says unsupported, then its a fake.

Yeah I was wondering...Don't have a PSP unfortunately though... I'm sending it back now, the guy on fleabay has been very helpful! I've gone for the Sandisk Video card mentioned above, alot more expensive but hopefully worth it....
