Help with choosing a memory card based HD Camcorder

Hi Guys,

I have just decided that my Mini DV SD Camcorder is now WWWWAAAAYYYY out of date and I need to upgrade to an HD one. I like the idea of having a small memory card one, which is definatley 1080 (progressive if possible). I have had a look on t'internet and i have been overwhelmed by all the new tech there now is in camcorders. A lot has changed in 5 years!!!! If anyone can point me in the right direction as to what I should be going for / recommendations, it will be greatly appreciated. The most important thing is probably size, quality and around £400. I will be using this just for family and stuff....

Thanks

Nick

Re: Help with choosing a memory card based HD Camcorder

There's not much choice for HD cameras out there for £400, it seems to be budget ones from just under £100-£200 (Toshiba S10/P30/H20, Aiptek AHD etc), then Sanyos Xacti HD range with another jump up to Canon/Sony/Panasonic etc over £500.
