Nero 9 Lite Edition

Hello All, I have just joined the forum and I need help! I have a Canon MD 101 MiniDV Camcorder and I have been creating dvd's from it going direct to my Compaq Presario computer using the Sonic software supplied with the computer. I used a "Firewire" lead to connect to the computer which recognises the camcorder and then gives me the option (amongst others) to use the "Direct To Disc" function which I did use to create dvd's. This I found quite simple to use but I started getting "error messages" now and again when copying the dvd's using the Sonic "Disc Copy" function. One error message was to make sure that I had enough hard drive space available which I do have (125 gig) and after copying a dvd sometimes it would say that some of the files were different to the original and would not give me the option to make another copy. I was advised that this Sonic software is sometimes "buggy" and to uninstall it and to install Nero. I have now installed "Nero 9 Lite Edition" and I am stuck! When I connect the camcorder up to the computer with the "Firewire" cable it only gives me the option to use "Movie Maker" I have looked on Nero and searched for help but failed! I am quite new to this type of thing and I would be very pleased if somebody could explain to me (in very simple terms!) how to transfer video from my camcorder and create a dvd using Nero 9 Lite which seems very complicated to me compared to Sonic. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Nero 9 Lite Edition

Nero lite is not complicated but you do need the full version.. should not set you back more then £35 even the latest version ( , and it is extremely versatile)
Ulead Movie Factory is another one worth considring
