Just one question though, do you get a SD card with the HF100 or not? If so what size is it?

No card comes with the HF100

You need a 8gb SDHC card for about 1 hour of recording (max resolution) 2 hour on a 16gb etc etc

I presume a Sandisk Extreme II 15MB/s will be more than enough speed for this camcorder?
