Which Canon FS100, FS11 or FS10?

I have around £300 to spend on a new camcorder. After going around the houses many times looking at which format / SD or HD, I've narrowed the selection down to a Flash based Canon unit.

I'd love a HD model, but havn't got the funds yet to get a decent unit!

Looking at the Canon website, am I right in thinking that the only differences in the three models is the amount of internal storage? Nil, 8Gb and 16Gb?

I have also noticed a few retailers stocking the newer FS200, FS21 range, but when I do a comparison on the website they actually look worse off than the models above!

Also, will any or all of them record in 16:9 format?

Many thanks

Tony

Re: Which Canon FS100, FS11 or FS10?

I did the same research when I was looking for a new camcorder. Yes, the only difference between the three is the memory. I bought the FS11 so I could transfer data from the internal memory to the SD card to free up space when I needed it. It does record in 16:9 widescreen. I found it very easy to use but the only critism I would have is that there are no threads to attach a filter or other lens. I don't know anything about the new breed of camcorders out now.

Many thanks for the reply. Might just stick with the FS100 as I can get 16Gb SDHC cards pretty cheap!

Does anyone know what format the device records in? I would be wanting to use Adobe Premiere Elements to do my editing work if possible?

Cheers

Tony

Does the FS11 record at a higher bitrate, like the change from the HF10 to HF11 (17Mbps to 24Mbps)...?
