Hi my PC uses Vista. And I have a basic Handycam DCR-HC27E camcorder.

Was thinking of buying a Grabster or similar to transfer and edit footage from the camcorder and to move old VHS tapes to DVD . I believe the Grabster comes with Ulead software. Can anyone advise if the Grabster is a good option or recommend a better way of doing this?

Your cam is Mini dv the only sensible way to get that on the pc is via firewire as for the vhs part buy a dvd recordedr rather than grabster .Go straight to dvd then edit on the pc later.much less hassle
