hi all I have a sony digital 8 dcrtrv340 and cant manage to transfer footage to my pc that is of decent quality. im using a firewire port on a pentium 4 but i have windows 98se. im also useing PIXELA as the software which was supplied with camera.
I seem to have poor sound transfer and loose frames aswell.

Do a search for 'dropped frames' on these forums and you should find all the advise you need to get good quality capture from your camcorder.
