Which HD Camcorder, HG10 and SR10E now discontinued ?

last time i was looking to buy a HD camcorder, all the debate was between the Sony HDR-SR10/11 and the cannong HG10

Now i come to buy, RGBdirect were selling the sony £448 but its discontinued. Slightly galling now, that the only place seemingly to be worthwhile buying from, and still having stock is selling them at nearly £100 more than that.

Ive found the canon HG10 for £498 at Argos, but again i must assume this is because its the on the way out !

Should i continue to hunt round for bargains on these two, or has the market moved on now and i should be looking at something else ?

The HG10 is an excellent cam, newer models have better specs, but the PQ is still much the same.
Depends on how much your budget is and your uses for the camera.
