| Sony DVD Architect 5 - DD5.1 Bug with AVCHD
Heads up on a bug that I've encountered with DVD Archirect 5.0.
I used Sony Vegas to render my HDV footage to the AVC 15Mpbs 1440x1080 5.1 Surround template, created a .m2ts file.
This plays fine on PS3 and gives sound from all channels.
As I wanted a nice menu, timings, chapters etc, dragged it into Sony DVD Architect 5 to create a "Blu Ray" (actually an ACVHD disc to be burned to a DVD).
The soundtrack levels just don't look right and on burning/testing I see that the left speaker is well down compared to the right, and that sound only comes from L & R speakers. (Amp does indeed state DD5.1).
Searched the net and say that someone had seen the downmixing problem before.
Found a fix, that I have tested and works 100%.
Back to Sony Vegas, render a separate .AC3 track.
Back to Sony DVD Architect, delete the crap audio track by "Replace"ing it with the .AC3 track.
Hope this helps someone in future when they are googling for the answer!
