Hi there,

I have been clearing out my attic and come across a few 8mm tapes that I made using my Viewcam a few years back. I have since sold the Viewcam.

I am trying to find the best (and cheapest) way of getting the footage off the 8mm cassettes on to the PC.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be pleased to hear them.

Any method would include a suitable camcorder
My preffered method would be to get a cheap 8mm camcorder ( ebay, cash converters) and a settop DVD recorder . Saying that there are cheap analogue to digital devices you can use to get footage fro m 8mm to a PC
.. and there are thise costing say, £130
Do a search here .. there are several threads on 8mm or VHS to PC which might be of some use
