Help - Sony hdr-tg3

I bought one of these last year used it for my summer holiday, copied the memory disc's to a hard drive now I have no idea how to create a disc.
I believe I created the movies in HD format, though not certain. In each of the folders I have a
memstick.ind & msk_pro.ind file both of zero bytes. A .sonyVID file of 1k as well as the two folders of AVCHD & AVF_INFO both with numerous files in.
How can I get these onto a DVD the software that comes with the camera does not allow you to browse to the local drive.
Thanks

Re: Help - Sony hdr-tg3

you need to use the software that came with it. i'm sure it'll browse to the folder you created. failing that, you can always copy the folders and files back to your card and then transfer it properly using PMB to your computer and you can then create a disc. i've not played with my cam for a couple of months so can't remember what goes where...

AVCHD folder is the one you need. do you have PS3?
what's inside the above folder? it should contain all the big files you need.

Re: Help - Sony hdr-tg3

Hi David,

As muscleflex has said, do everything via the Picture Motion Browser software that came with your TG3.

You have a number of choices within PMB,

1) either get PMB to create an AVCHD Disk on a DVD disk using all the footage on your camcorder (basically a straight dump), which will play through any Blu Ray player (or better still as suggested go buy a PS3). You get about 25 mins of wonderful HD footage and it all plays together seamlessly

2) via PMB dump it onto your Hard Disk so you can choose which clips you want ohn the disk and which you dont, bearing in mind the 25min rule above (i ammume its double if youve a dual-layer DVD writer). Then write it as a AVCHD disk for your blu-ray/PS3

3) Do either 1 or 2 but when you write it, get PMB to do it as a DVD compliant disk, which will play on any DVD player (although in standard definition only)

Cheers

Jez

Jez
I always get a slight pause (half second) between scenes when I play an AVCHD disc which i created from PMB from files from TG3, is this normal? You say they play seamlessly.

This pause is not present when the files are played off the memory stick.
