Problems editing in nero & windows movie maker

Hi,
I have just started editing avchd video from sony sr12e. Have tried using nero and windows movie maker but both turn the files into segments. For example they break up a 1 minute file into 3 or 4 separate segments that then do not play smoothly back to back. I am absolutely stuck on this one guys. Any ideas what to do?

Re: Problems editing in nero & windows movie maker

Which version of Nero are you using and what format are the output files

I use Nero 9 and I don't get the seperating in to segments

Using Nero Vision, I just choose 'Make Movie', browse for my AVCHD files, add them to the story board (and edit them in cut mode if needed), then 'Export', choose my format (normally to 'Nero Digital AVC/Nero Digital AVC' (I use 1280x720, as my TV is only 720p)

To keep as AVCHD files using the same folder structure, I would open Nero Vision, choose 'Make DVD', then choose AVDHD, then Import my files, from here you can Cut the video to what you want, or tell it to create chapters (seperate in to segments) etc etc (fairly straight forward from here on)
