Arrow camcorder help under £250

basically i have a newborn baby boy that is being christened in a few weeks and i wish to record his movements.
i know i'm not going to get much in the spec stakes like hi-def or hdd but i want a camcorder that records to SD card and records decent footage indoors.
i've been looking around for a bit and realise there aint much out there that would blow my socks off for under £500 but i cant justify spending that kind of money. anybody fancy pointing me towards a comcorder that would not disappoint me for £250 or under.

i don't mind buying 2nd hand or refurbished if it means i'm getting a lot of camcorder for my money

Re: camcorder help under £250

Canon FS100 or Panasonic SDR S7
Samsungs MX20 is much cheaper but using the mpeg4 ( H.264 format) it may be perhaps better to pass on it even though it is quite good for what it does
Regardless of which you end up with all will struggle with indoor low light
A second hand Hi def model would be nice but I'm not sure there are any around

Re: camcorder help under £250

thanks for your quick reply, i was considering the fs100 you recommend after what i've read around this forum so looks like the way to go for me.

i was wondering what you thought of the Samsung VP-HMX10 High Definition Camcorder ? i can get this for under £240 which is only £20 more than the fs100
