Whats the best way to get my old 8mm videos onto the comp ?

If you have a Settop DVD recorder you can create DVD videos, the footage of which any modern Editing software can import
If you wish to use a device, the cheap and (IMHO not cheerful ones) are Easy cap

Thanks very much senu. I do have a dvd recorder but anything that lasts over an hour it saves is some weird format I've never heard of !! Looked at the Dazzle which has had mixed reviews. Plumped for a package called ' Rescue my videotapes' which has some pretty good reviews. Certaintly good enough for my old 8mm tapes and the odd VHS.
