Software to speed up transfer of HDD footage to DVD for standard DVD player ?

I am currently using the supplied Panasonic HD Writer 2.6 software, to transfer Panasonic HDC-HS100 camcorder HD video footage to DVD, which I then need to be able to play on a standard DVD player.

The process is painfully slow, 1 hour of footage can take up to 6 hours to transfer to DVD !

Is there any appropriate software that anyone can recommend, that will SPEED UP the transfer process at all ?? (AVS Video Editor and Pinnacle Studio have been mentioned to me, but do they speed things up ?)

Any suggestions gratefully received !!

Craig.

Re: Software to speed up transfer of HDD footage to DVD for standard DVD player ?

Speeding things up is a function of software and perhaps more importantly, your hard ware
Im not sure about the relative times but it is a time consumnig process no matter what you use
Im not at all sure the examples you mention are that much faster. Suffice to say you can leave things overnight, or do a real time DVD creation with a Settop DVD recorder
For other software
