Problem with Sony Info-Lithium battery

Hello, I just bought a spare Sony NP-F570 Info-Lithium battery for my Z5E and it does not appear to be working properly.

It came in a Sony packet, and all the markings look legitimate, but it appears to be made for the North American market (I'm in the UK), given the text on the back (e.g. it doesn't have the European "CE" mark, but has something about Canada on it). I also noticed the current is 2200 mA compared to my original which is 2100 mA. Also, in my charger, it doesn't bring up the charge time remaining.

I talked to Sony about this but they couldn't help, and I'm worried about putting it in my camera. Also, I'm concerned the charge time will not show on the camera if it doesn't show on the charger, and if I wanted that I would have bought a cheaper generic battery.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Problem with Sony Info-Lithium battery

Where did you buy it from? Was it ebay or a legitimate online store?

Cheers

Re: Problem with Sony Info-Lithium battery

It was through one of the Amazon.co.uk stores: Smile UK.

Re: Problem with Sony Info-Lithium battery

Any doubts, send it back and ask for a refund. You weren't expecting to get a battery any different to the original, and shouldn't have.
