Re: hdr tg3 editing

I have been doing some research myself into this having also recently got a Sony TG3.
I have been downloading the demos to try from the manufacturers websites.
So far I have tried:
Sony Vegas - this seems to be the one everyone raves about, as a result I was convinced I would buy it, but... it has crashed a couple of times on my system (an iCore 7 system) and is quite complicated to use.
then I tried:
Corel Video Studio X2 - was much easier to use - almost too easy and seemed to be lacking some features that I would use.
Most recently I have tried Adobe Premier Elements 7 - for me this has been by far the best. The most stable, all the features I need (although no surround decoding) without being overcomplicated.

I have decided to get Premier Elements 7 - just researching into the best price at the moment (anyone know any good prices?!?).

Hope this helps, best of luck

Re: hdr tg3 editing

I use a fairly low spec PC - AMD 64 3200+ with 3GB ram. I went through a series software trials but found Videostudio to provide the best overall for my needs.

Important part for me was to be able to stitch together individual clips and just have a simple title here and there. The biggest plus was the mpeg optimisor which checks all the individual clips that make up the movie and then provide a percentage requirement for recode. In most cases for this would be 98-99% that does not require recoding because all I have done is just added a title to the begining. So its very quick to get out results.

I then place these small movies on the network drive and then stream to my Playstion 3 without any issues.

Well recommended.

I'm also using it at the moment to convert my old DV collection to MPEG and it seems to be working ok so far. Not had any issues in stability.

All the best....

Really?
I guess it is supposed to but the prepoderance of third party software suggests very few people have any joy with it
or
It is very limiting. Even if your needs are fairly basic you may stil need to get easito use 3rd party software

Lovely turn of phrase. I especially enjoyed it while I was eating my toast. Cheers.
