Sony TG1 Help

Hi Sorry if this is a dumb question!!

I have a sony TG1 and am trying to get the videos and pictures from the card on to the PC so i can view them and maybe make a disc or two

Problem is that i have loaded the supplied software (although i am running 64bit vista) and nothing is showing as imported, well thats actually incorrect, its imported but when analyisng the videos are all showing as unreadable

Question is...is there a 64bit programme i can get either free or cheap as chips so i can store and view my videos!!?

Or am i doing something wrong? All the videos work when played back on the camcorder so i assume that they are not corrupted in anyway and i am hoping that its just an avchd thing !!

Any help for a complete noobie really appreciated!

Re: Sony TG1 Help

Check your codecs, PMB doesnt like 3rd party codecs like FFDshow, if you have 3rd party video/audio codecs installed you may have to remove them, there are other posts on this forum regarding this

Re: Sony TG1 Help

I have tversity on the pc would this cause problems? If i delete the codec pack i wont be able to use my ps3 as a media hub and that would make MRs not happy..lol

I dont understand if I am simply trying to get the videos off the memory stick why the progamme wont play them

Also shouldnt my ps3 play the movies direct from the pc using tversity?

Re: Sony TG1 Help

Not sure whether Tversity would interfer with PMB but you don't need PMB to view the files in anycase, there are plenty of HD players viewers out there, just use one of these instead. You could always try unistalling Tversity.

PMB is good for transferring and organising the clips, however once they're transferred over you can open them in any program that can handle AVCHD files.

Tversity should be able to stream the videos to your PC if it and your equipment is up to it, just look for the .MTS files, although I should think they'll only be played as individual clips
