Has anyone got the Sony DVDirect (VRD-MC5)?

Can the following be done:

When you record video via the hdr-Sr12e (AVCHD) - when you start / stop the camcorder it is effectively another clip.

When you burn via DVDirect (VRD-MC5) does it join all these clips together so that makes one seamless clip - or do you get the breaks in the final DVD cut too?

i've just ordered one of these, from what i've read in all the reviews it seems like a good bit of kit, downside is that it doesnt playback.

Will post a mini review once i get it if anyones interested.
