Thumbs down SD9>SDHC CARD>PS3>Not Playing

So I took the plunge and got me an SD9!

However.....

I just recorded a couple of minutes of me wandering around the house, stuck the card in the reader and then in the PS3.

The PS3 see it as I can select "USB Reader", which then shows an ""AVCHD" icon and a "Digital Camera Movies" icon.

I select the AVCHD option, the PS3 blinks a couple of times and I end up back at the main menu where I can see USB Card Reader.

Any suggestions?

Re: SD9>SDHC CARD>PS3>Not Playing

If I plug the USB Reader into my laptop, I can browse the folders and open the *MTS files and play them using VLC, so there's nothing wrong there.

I just need to be able to play them on my PS3.....

Tried the latest PS3 firmware? Which I think is 2.60.

Try pressing the triangle button, I think this gives you the option to open the file. If I get time, Ill bung my SD card into my PS3 and let you know how I do it.

I know that I sometimes have to navigate through quite a few different files before the right one opens for playback.

Already running 2.6.

The weird thing is I copied them to a drive on my LAN & renamed one of them, so one is 000.mts (original name) and I renamed the other to 0001.m2ts but I can see and play them both via TVersity.

Thanks, I'll give it a try and report back.

That worked!, thanks.

I hit triangle on the actual card reader icon. This then gave an option of "Display All", so I hit enter and voila!

Although I then had to browse manually through the folders until I got to the "Stream" folder that had the MTS files in it, which seems quite a long winded thing to have to do.

I'll show SWMBO, so she can do it in future without any PC intervention, but for me I think I'll just copy footage to the LAN and stream it.
