Dilema - Not sure what to buy

At the moment I film using 2 Panasonic NV-GS400 Mini-DV cameras. I know these are more than a bit long in the tooth, plus I've hammered them. I want to get at least 1 maybe 2 new cameras, but I want to stick with Mini-DV and standard def, as all my editing software and hardware can cope. I need cameras that can shoot in 4x3 and 16x9 - the same as my existing cameras.

I've been considering the Canon XM2, but nowhere seems to advise whether or not you can film in true 16x9 or not... plus theses cameras are fairly old too...

Can anybody recommend a camera - budget not more than £2k per camera... We mainly use the GD-400 for filming weddings, often in fairly low light...

Also looking at the Canon HV30 - It's Mini-DV and it shoots in standard def if you want. Not sure about the widescreen mode though.... does anybody have one?
