Sony TRV14 Touch screen controls

I am looking to spend under £500 on my first camcorder and am considering the Sony TRV14. However, I am put off by the mention of touch screen controls - I fear you won't be able to see what to touch in strong sunlight and what about all the finger marks on the LCD screen ? Do you have to use the touch screen facility or are there "hard" buttons too?

It's the same casing as the 33, in which case I had the same concerns.

Digging around the US Sony site, I found a 360 image which allowed me to locate the record buttons on the casing itself (T-W, REC, etc) whilst the playback buttons are via the LCD.

As I say, this was for the 33, but they should be the same casing specs.

I love the touch screen buttons, especially usefull when viewing /deleting MPGS and JPGS on the stick, you cant see the finger marks when the screen is on and when screen is off they have not bothered me enough to clean it yet after a couple of months use, the fingers marks dont seem to get any worse with more use.
No probs viewing the buttons in bright light either, they are dark blue boxes with white symbols.

dunno about the lower models, but my trv950 has a stylus on the hand grip you can use on the screen, so no finger marks. if it doesn't include one, pick one up from somewhere i guess.

and yeah, i like the touch screen idea, it works well.
