Converting AVCHD files for uploading on facebook

Hi it seems like you can upload HD videos on facebook which is cool! only problem is it doesn't support AVCHD. So it looks like I need to convert it to something.

Any ideas on what to convert it to and is there a easy to use converter out there ?
