Cheap camcorders, are they worth it?

Im going snowboarding in feb and just thought it might quite a good idea to try and record some stuff. I dont want to spend more than £50 as for me its only really a novelty item that i wont get that much use out of. I dont want anything amazing, just something cheap that i wont miss if i fall and break it. I know not to expect outstanding video quality but is it worth buying anything in this price range or will my phone do just as good a job.

Any susgestions welcome, thanks.

Quality- probably a bit better than your phone - but that will depend on what phone you have and the cam you buy...

A Flip Mino will set you back a little over a hundred notes - any less than that and personally I wouldn't bother. Aldi were selling something cheaper (here), but I know very little about it.

Why not have a look for something used on eBay ? Lots of people selling Sony camcorders on there for around £50 which will do a good job for you.
