jvc mg330 camcorder,help

how do you better the night recording ,bit dark..
how do you get all your recordings on to one ,,(thumb nail recordings )
can some one recommend there settings etc..

like the look and size,just the recordings look a bit flat..

before i give it back to john lewis ,,thanks
