everio GZ MG330HEK editing question

Hi, camcorder newbie here after a bit of help

I got the above cam recently and thought i would look at viewing/editing some clips on the pc today

when i connect via usb everything is fine and I can see all the files with the extension .mod and there is also a file extension.moi. If i change the .mod files to .mpgs they play fine, but i just wandered do i have to do this for every file manually??

also what are the .moi files? can these be deleted?

thanks

hi the camera itself is excellent just started editing some bits today, camera is lightweight and tiny. the hdd option is superb but if you want to use sd card the option is there. Battery life seems to be good and the quality of the lcd is very sharp.

not got a lot to compare it on as the last camcorder was a brick and took the old videos, but i must say this is a nifty bit of technology and i would give it a big
