SD Card to DVD

I am currently considering buying a new Camcorder and have spotted a few SD card models within my budget (around £200). Just one thing I am wondering is how easy it is to transfer footage from the SD Card to a DVD? The PC I would be using is basic (Vista Basic, 1gb ram, 1.6 celeron processor), but I'm not bothered about any editing, just simply transferring footage from the SD card straight onto a blank DVD.

Can anyone advise if this PC would be able to handle the transfer for me, and what sort of software would be required - presumably such Camcorders come bundled with the software required?

Re: SD Card to DVD

With one of my camcorders, I connect it to the dvd recorder that sits under my TV and record onto its hard drive. The recorder allows me to edit out unwanted footage and then it will transfer it to dvd for me.

Ive never used my PC so cant comment on that side of life
