Nostalgia.. eh?

In low light, the Canon is (like all SD cams it seems) prone to grain and a drop in quality (don't expect miracles just because it's HD), but I'm happy enough with it.

Actually dont expect miracles in lower light and fast panning from any of the curent crop of Hi def camcorders. the tape models are a bit better but only just
Best to give then decent lighting

I haven't tried the Canon outdoors yet, so can't say what it is like, but it should be a lot better than indoors with the full HD loveliness.

It will be . You will need to use manual controls though to avoid blow-out of high lights, back lighting issues and white balance errors , Auto is only so good
But its all abiout getting to know how to get the best from the camcorder . Im sure youll get there .. eventually
