Getting Sony Vegas Studio 9 to output an .m2ts file

Basically as the title suggests really guys, I got Sony Vegas Studio 9 and can import and work with .m2ts files, but when I go to save my edited video, it comes up with loads of templates etc to choose from. I choose the AVCHD format which says it can do it in .mp4, .m2ts and .avc. But no matter which template I then choose, the output file is always .mp4?

Cheers for any help

Why do you need it back in a .m2ts format?

The video format is the same for each as far as I know, it's only the extension that's different.

I've used a free programme called TSMuxer which will mux an audio stream and Blu-ray compliant video stream to .m2ts or even proper Blu-ray format for buring - maybe that could help you.

Cheers for that, I might give it a try .

I'd like them back in .m2ts format once I've edited them as I've got a good program that will convert files from .m2ts into .avi and keep the quality.
