VideoStudio X2 - A/B Roll Editing?

I have an interview shot from two cameras - the interviewer and the interviewee. I am trying to combine them into a video. I just need to load the 2 videos in and switch between them occasionally. I have VideoStudio Pro x2, but despite finding a few references to A/B editing for it on the internet, I can't seem to find the option. I can't even find how to add a second Video Track. Only an Overlay Track which takes priority over the main track. If I could split the video clip on the Overlay track I could achieve what I want (I could then change the size fo the bits of clip to either nothing or full screen) but I can't seem to do this either - the scissors icon to split the clip is not available on the Overlay Track.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Paul.

Re: VideoStudio X2 - A/B Roll Editing?

Does its own manual not say?
My very honest view is that for editing where you need to have some degree of control over audio and video in separate tracks, apply track specific effects 9 or corrections). The likes of VS ( and Pinnacle Studio are more lacking or have less fine control) than Adobe Premirere Element s or Sony Vegas Movie Studio whose roots from more grown up video editing packages make a/b roll type editing a breeze. Ulead stopped making Media Studio a long time ago. Even DVD Movie Workshop was also stopped
None the less you could try Uleads own user forums
Brian110507 ( a now quiet member here who is of a VS expert) seems not to have his ulead VS website up anymore. If there is anything he doesnt know about Ulead VS , its probably not worth knowing. He might just respond to PM

I think Ive seen him Mod the Ulead forums in SimplyDV ( which you can google )
But look HERE
