Arrow Which Laptop for HD Editing?

Hi all,

I'm getting the Canon HG10 at the end of this month, but think I need a new laptop to handle the HD footage (I want to edit footage to make short movies, with music.)

I currently have an Acer Travelmate 660, with 512MB RAM, Intel Centrino chip, and integrated graphics card.

I'm looking at new ones for around the £370 mark -

the Acer 5735 :-
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5800
(2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Basic
3GB Memory Size
160GB Hard Drive
Intel GM45 Graphics Card Type

OR

Toshiba L300-13S :-
AMD Turion Dual Core Processor RM-70
(1.9GHz, 1600 Mhz, 1MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
3GB memory
160GB hard drive
ATi Radeon 3100 Graphics card

Would you say these two would be sufficient to handle HD editing without it being painfully slow? I need a laptop, and it needs to be around that price. The Toshiba has a slower processor but a dedicated graphics card.. which would you go for?

What experiences have others had in terms of PC hardware and HD editing?

Thanks
