Will Sandisk Ultra II work with Canon HF100?

In the Sandisk Ultra 2's technical details it says that the speed of it is
:High speed card up to 15MB/sec performance (class 4)

Whereas the FXP mode on the Canon HF100 goes at 17MB/sec.

Does that mean you cannot use the FXP mode when using this Camcorder? Anyone know? I just don't want to risk it with poorer quality ones.

Class 4 is perfectly adequate. The HF100 records at 17 megabits, not megabytes, per second.

Andrew.

Re: Will Sandisk Ultra II work with Canon HF100?

1 megabits = 0.125 megabytes

Therefore, 17 megabits = 2.125 megabytes per second.

Re: Will Sandisk Ultra II work with Canon HF100?

So, what is Class 6 needed for?

Is there any reason to get Class 6 for an HF100?

I think it just means quicker transfer to Computer.

I just ordered the Sandisk 16gb Ultra 2 for £32 off Amazon, £10 more than the Transcend 16gb but I've never ever had a problem with Sandisk, brand loyalty I guess.
