| New Member | Camcorders and manual metering
Hi, sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything relevant with the search function. I am normally a stills photographer and have just got a HD camcorder. Although setting the white balance manually is simple, how do people set exposure on camcorders ? I've set ISO to 100, aperture to f4 so if my stills light meter says 1/250 second what would I set the shutter speed to on a camcorder ? If it's set to 720P 60FPS I've seen that that means fields per second on frames (too obvious !!!) but should it then take 60FPS at 1/250 or is there something more complicated I have to do (or something simpler) ? And then, if it's set to 1080P 30FPS does it change or is it just half the number of fields exposed in a second ? Many thanks Adrian |
