Do ALL DVD Camcorders 'finalise' the DVD?

As the question implies... I am sure they all do but can someone confirm? Why would they NOT finalise DVD's??

• Camcorder malfunction

or

• Dodgy media

A little unexplained bad luck is also possible
Have a look at the FAQ to see why DVD camcorders seem to be less popular than you might expect them to be

Sometimes though finalised the user has goofed and recorded in VR format and wonders why it wont play outside the cam
