Imagemixer 3 SE Titler Problem

I decided to use the Imagemixer 3 SE bundled with the HF100 to see what kind of options it gave me. I am running an AMD Athlon Dual Core at 2.4 with 2gb of memory. The video is onboard and has been allocated 256mb of memory. The motherboard is an Asus M2NPV-VM.
The transitions in the editor are a little choppy, but passable. The problem is with the titler. When I run the preview, I get a black box with nothing. I've experienced similar problems in Windows Media Player trying to play captures from SnagIt. If I remember correctly, that was caused by the way the player renders the different levels. I was able to eventually resolve that problem. Has anyone seen this titler issue?
