Best digital camcorder for around £150
I dont have a clue about these things so any advice would be great. What would be my best options in this price range?

Canon mini dv cams have a good reputation around this price range.

Personally I'd prefer the Samsung MX20, the Canon looks huge (but is cheaper), but depends what you want I suppose.

For another £30 the Samsung is great.
