I have recently bought a Sony HDRSR11E (my first camcorder).
I have a few questions regarding recording to DVD and playback.


Do I need any special DVD recording equipment or will the PC DVD recorder be sufficient?
I have had trouble copying to external DVD recorder via my laptop.

Will HD video copied to DVD require HD DVD player?

Will HD video play on Non-HD TV?

Any advice/answers will be gratefully received.

The only way you can copy your sr 11 footage to a dvd recorder is from the analogue outputs.It is best to capture the footage via the usb to a pc and then make dvds or avchd discs[avchd discs will only play on ps3 or certain blue ray players.] with some software.dvds made from the hd video will not require a hd or blue ray player but a ordinary dvd player.hd video will play on any tv but only in standard def.
