Hi all,

I hope to be buying one of these babies very soon (Sony HDR SR10, 11 or 12)

I was wondering something....

Does anyone know if it's fairly easy to change / upgrade the internal HDD on one of these camcorders?
(Specifically, getting things open to access the physical HDD)

I know this has been done with the Sony HDR SR1 (I think all he did was remove 1 screw):

The reason I'm asking is that I'll be going on a fairly long trip, and collecting huge amounts of footage. A laptop is just not viable for archiving the footage, so I was thinking about using some spare 80GB 1.8" drives, and popping them in when the others are full.

Warranty / Guarantees are not an issue :D
