Sanyo HD1010

Advance apologies if this has already been talked about. Has any one had a look or owns one? What do you think about this and the features that come with it.
I have been look for a HD camcorder for a while and the Xacti HD1000 caught my eye cos of its design?

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Sanyo HD1010

Got mine a few days ago.
Nice camcorder - main reason I went for it (apart from HD !!) was I don't like the Coke can shaped ones (I'm mainly a stills snapper and like a vertical grip).
Biggest disappointment is the IS. It is completely non existant. Switching it on or off changes nothing
You will need a tripod to get stable useable video.
Apart from that the only other bad points are the headphones/mic sockets. Why ? Because they are where you hand is on the grip !!! Another reason to use a tripod !!
And is there a reason the mic is 2.5mm, all my microphones are 3.5mm so I have to use the adapter supplied (the inbuilt mic is very quiet).

Hope that helps
Adrian
