Capture Video & Audio Seperatly in Vegas 7

Hi,
when using Sony Vegas 7 to capture video from a DV camcorder, can I set it so that it does not capture the audio from the camcorder but captures it from a different source, eg the line in?

What I am trying to do is capture video as it is being recorded at an event but have the sound being fed from the Mixer to the line in of the computer. want to caputure both at the same time so they will be synced I wont have to manually do it later?

If sony vegas cant do this, is there any other software that can?

All help/suggestions appreciated

Thanks in advance

I think that for capture you would have to do them separately
Although it might be possible do this simultaneously ( by opening 2 separate instances of vegas) Or vegas and an audio recording software they would need to be manually synched as they wont be recognised as being of the same source
